Reid starting at 8 is a bit of a surprise. Good player, a bit under rated to my mind.

Bath's 8s are required to grind for 50 minutes, allowing a more powerful carrier on against tired legs (similar at THP; Stuart plays the immovable object whilst Obano attacks, then TdT comes on and looks to destroy as if he's a LHP).
Usually that means Barbeary starts and Coetzee makes hay in the last quarter; but JC is out for the season, so...
It's about suiting the game plan, rather than being 1st or 2nd choice

Yeah there's some really good impact on that Bath bench to take the game to Lyon in the second half. Van Graan is good at using his squad.

Which RWC did DuToit win?
Presenters forgetting the difference between hype and reality again?
Or am I missing something?

ITV Premiership highlights programme had him as player of the season possibility.

Apparently he was in the 2019 squad. Benched against the nights of Namibia and Canada
I obviously want paying attention to him then

Looked like Muir might have prevented that but first try is for Lyon.

That's a very generous finding of mitigation

That's one of the worst refereeing decisions of all time

I couldn’t hear it. Was it the player dipping?

Hill/Underhill combo absolutely minced that French lock there. Bath very lucky to keep that lead and all their players on the field.

No she reckoned he changed direction which he did about 5m before the tackle, outrageous decision
Dunn doesn't tap his penalty and takes a dive for a disallowed lyon try
What do the French call it......the anglo cup?
Embarrassing

With going long over the 40 minutes, there can't be long left on Muir's card, and with the cavalry to come 10 minutes after him, this feels like it'll be comfortable IF Lyon don't come out with a brilliant HT talk.
We've definitely had the rub of the green from Hollie though.
1 bad decision (which Goode needs to shut up about in commentary, and leave for HT and post-match now)and the rest... better at cheating for me

It's what he always does.
He's been TMO-checked a few times this season, and always been given the green light.
Tough for TV cameras to give us a clean shot, zoomed in enough to tell. It only needs to leave his hands by 1mm after all.

Jeez aidan, how can you write stuff like that. All your posts about head injuries and then I gets smashed and it's better at cheating..............we're all full of contradictions?

Errr... What now?
Things you've seen me write about it:
That's red
That's a very generous finding of mitigation
Bad decision
The words "better at cheating" immediately followed the words "the rest" meaning everything apart from the one incident I described as a bad decision, and a red card

Well, I guess that if Underhill isn't a red, then that isn't a card... I guess it's consistent within the match, but really not consistent with the last decade

What a joke. She’s backed herself in to a corner. How many more head contacts can we fit in to this game?
