The hold up in the regions budgets is ridiculous, leaving players in limbo.

However, why don't the regions offer players a % of their budget (ie this years budget)? Some players wouldn't be happy with the uncertainty but they would know their pay would be in a certain range. Some would go for it. It's not ideal but better than a total freeze.

I'm sure some of the news is just agents trying to whip up something better for their clients but having said that, the situation is a joke. Welsh rugby tearing itself apart. The only consolation is that English rugby also in a hell of a state.

You do wonder what the attraction is for playing in Wales at the moment. Yes, the chance for playing for Wales is there, but the national side is not in a great position, and the regions aren't hugely competitive. If you've grown up in the Welsh system there might be more incentive to stay but moving from say England might not hold much of a draw.

Rowlands gone, like Hill before him. Another lock lost to ££££ (well €€€€). Lucky we have some players like AWJ and Tips who care more for the red shirt.

Why another 2nd row?? We could have lost several 7s and barely noticed it.

How long was corey hill's contract? Could he be back before the RWC?

Lurching from self inflicted disaster to self inflicted disaster at the moment. According to WOL he could play for Wales at the World Cup with a dispensation if all of the regions agree.

Would surely be a strong case for an exemption given that it’s in September and he will only have just joined his new club. Hard for Provac to build a new second row pairing otherwise.

And the current situation is pathetic.
