Like fuck am I paying a single penny to Bezos. Should have at least kept Welsh language rights with S4C.

I already fund Bezos’ space adventures so I will be watching. However I may regret doing so.

What also really bugs me about it is that there are a lot of older people who love to watch Wales play. They aren't au fait with the internet etc enough to use amazon prime. So they are simply excluded.

Surely they must know some "youngsters" who could help them out, my parents managed it ok and they are luddites, it's a matter of reading the simple instructions which a lot of people seem to be scared of. PCs have been around long enough now for people to have got the hang of them, it's not as if there haven't been courses made available for free for old people to learn. It's like complaining you can't drive 30 years after cars were made available, it's time these geriatrics moved with the times

The 6 Nations will go the same way in a few years, the wedge is being hammered in further.

While I agree with you about giving that kunt bezos a penny many many people have Amazon prime. It’s available via a sky box as well so I don’t really buy the argument that oldies can’t work it

I wonder if they’ll have the free thirty days trial next year. I wouldn’t think so.

They've had the 30 days free trial going for several years so I can't see that changing, how many times you can go in for the free trial I don't know, I would assume it remembers the registration details so you may need to use a separate email address and bank details for subsequent free trials.

Rugby is getting more expensive in general. We just had an email about away allocations for the Scotland v Wales and Ireland games. The tickets the WRU and IRFU have made available to the SRU are £100 and £110 quid. For some Scotland games the child prices are pretty much that of the adults. Keeping the 6N on FTA TV means the cost of attending games is sky rocketing and that isn't the answer either.

Of all the pay TV options Amazon is probably the most palatable as many already have prime, there are free trials and smart TVs/Sky boxes have it built in.

Yeah, I can understand that but I think some things are more important. It bothers me a hell of a lot more that our national game is moved off FTA than whether or not the terrestrial channels are getting a good deal.

Clubs across Scotland, and I assume elsewhere in the UK are really struggling on all fronts after covid but continuing to try their best to help schools, develop girls and womans rugby etc. They need support from the union and that all costs money.

I'm not against keeping it on FTA, just no longer completely against non FTA options. Amazon would be the least worst option and there are many different ways to watch Amazon Prime and most are very straight forward to set up to the point so long as the person can work a TV remote they'd have access for £11 a month for the 3 months international rugby is on it if they were to get the 6N.

They seem to link it to purchases made on Amazon too, so if you were in future thinking of buying items with Amazon anyway just time it for the upcoming rugby. I've lost track of how many times we've had a free 30 day pass now (you just need to remember to cancel it before that start to charge if you don't want to continue)

Anyway, point was using the same details you can rinse and repeat

I don't quite know the ins and outs, it's not actually me doing the shopping on t' Amazon. I only know we have another 30 day trial and I can watch the rugby, at which point I stopped listening

But for sure we've had a number of these trials now, the registered card has been changed once as it was lost (actually it was in a coat pocket but was reported lost), and we've had more than the 2 trials, easily more
