lol.

You can see the similarities between the US, Brazil, and Hungary on this. Orban has been blaming migrants for bringing it, Bolsonaro has called it a plot.

These men should be removed from power by popular uprising.

Instead they become more popular (with the missinformed masses). Hitler and Mussolini cast a long shadow.

It's fucking pathetic. The great United States has been humbled by this episode and a good portion of the public refuse to acknowledge it. For profit health care budgeted to receive just enough calories to survive one more day is a complete and utter failure. Rather than deal with that, some continue with a tired and dangerous xenophobic response to an assault on their 3rd world vanilla christian lego land. This country is sick to it's core man.

I mean, is this really someone's priority in the middle of all this?

Approval ratings are up all over the place where Covid-19 is doing its thang. As Mike says, like war, this sort of shit is great for approval ratings.

This makes me so fucking angry. The health system is about to collapse and the main focus of government is to hijack the deep running xenophobia that exists among a minority and use it on the international stage to deflect responsibility for a woefully unprepared infrastructure. Really? This is the priority? Total fucking gumbys. Lobbied by corporations to keep the public interest away from the vast resources the US keeps in gated communities occupied by a chosen few, and throwing rancid bait pathetically blaming foreigners for this debacle to keep cretinous pig ignorant voters off the scent. With no thought whatsoever for the consequences of this rotting red herring. What will it take? More people ingesting fish tank cleaner and dying? A couple of nutters wanting to blow up a hospital because the pandemic is a foreign plot to take down the US? I spit in the face of these chicken fucking spunk baskets. Fuck them. I hope the universe visits fearful karma on them for what they are doing.
A global epidemic is the perfect time for the world to come together, for humanity to face its problems as one, to see itself as one species.

People who would divide us now are like poison. They should be nowhere near power, let alone at the top.

“When they’re not appreciative to me, they’re not appreciative to the Army Corps, they’re not appreciative to FEMA, it’s not right,” Trump said.

He then added: “I say, ‘Mike, don’t call the governor of Washington; you’re wasting your time with him. Don’t call the woman in Michigan. It doesn’t make any difference what happens.’ You know what I say: ‘If they don’t treat you right, I don’t call.’ He’s a different type of person; he’ll call quietly anyway.”

What a pathetic little bitch he is.

Who would have thought that George W Bush is now a model of a competent Republican President?

Mark that among Trump’s achievements.

Can I assume these are states the Republicans have little chance of winning?

Coz they've got zero chance now.

Seriously - this may be how things have played behing the scenes before (assuming the president is an arsehole), but with Trump it's all out in the open. Breathtaking.

He has just casually remarked he "may" quarantine NYC, like some cartoon fat emperor. Cue thousands of infected New Yorkers fleeing to Florida.

Trump is like a character Heller ditched from Catch-22 because he was too implausible.

Is Biden staying quiet because he doesn't have an official role in all this? it doesn't look like a time he shouldn't be showing leadership looking to the election, but it's maybe a time not to be too public right now when this shouldn't be a partisan issue

The second one. Any statement from the other old white dude will prompt an outpouring of disinformation from the orange white dude. Right now we needs the airways clear so dudes and dudesses in white coats can get an on point message across without background noise.

I like the line that 'these consequences may affect the ability of an operation to meet enforceable limitations on air emissions and water discharges, requirements for the management of hazardous waste, or requirements to ensure and provide safe drinking water.'

On the one hand it's reasonable guidance, on the other hand many of the firms governed are run by disgusting pieces of human filth

And now they're mass releasing people from jails after the disease has already entered the system and doing so with little to no support structures in place, this can only go well by the measures of crime, covid and punishment

Whatever he does he has a problem. As morepork points out the public don’t want tribal politics right now. So all he can do is sit tight and hope Trump takes a kicking from his handling of the crisis so he can benefit.
