Democrat senator Dianne Feinstein also implicated. From toilet paper to market shares, the divide between the haves and the have nots grows ever more apparent. Interesting times.
Sen. Feinstein’s husband sold shares at its minimum in a biogen. They raised after he sold: unlikely to be insider trading,

Sen. Johnson got out of his brother’s firm, Sen Purdue sold and bought.

Apparently both Burr and Loeffler are willing to go through the ethic investigation. Senator Burr has a precedent ( he told his family to sell shares in 2008 before the crisis hit the fan). Sen Loeffler and husband are just filthy rich (the husband is chairman of NY Stock Exchange, and chairman and CEO of the parent company) and could have got the hint to sell from thousands of places: not necessarily ethical, mind you.

Luckily TGPT is draining the swamp.

It's not exactly a secret there's this thing called coronavirus, but under disclosure you basically need to disclose or not trade, I suppose that's assuming they had information that's pertinent beyond what was already public, and assumes the shares weren't traded blind

They have to get this guy off daily press conferences. Every day it ends up a massive whinge about how he is not getting enough credit. Shit is made up on the spot, sowing utter confusion. He is blurting out opinion like someone googled it for him 5 minutes prior. Please, please get him out of the way.

Cue another hasty policy "directive" straight from Fox News to Twitter, without any of those pesky health professionals to get in the way. What a fucking muppet. He will end up shelling out money to corporations and fucking the health system with the wrong end of the pineapple. This is our great deal maker? Our master businessman? Our self-proclaimed expert on everything?

Fuck him.

His pronouncements today on how quickly it will be business as normal are a bit alarming. I suppose the only saving grace is that individual states can do a hell of a lot on their own without presidential direction. But I do fear for the US if the orange genius fails to take this seriously.

He doesn't understand it. Lobbysists for bunkered billionaires are in his ear and that's all he is listening to. He needs to be removed.

You’ll be thrilled to hear the narrative of “most grandparents would happily die in order to shore up the economy for their (grand)children” is picking up some real traction on the old twatosphere.

Also I’m not sure why/if this needs saying but my previous post about Zuckerberg was not a sincere one.

That's pretty much a question you're assuming the WH has asked to be asked so he can say something calm and reassuring

Jesus, thought I’d been had for a moment when I saw this post underneath.

If anything I feel he actually looks worse in the full version? It’s as if the reporter is offering one last chance to give people something more reassuring than a big shrug and ‘might work, might not work’.

Even if he simply wanted to minimise this issue for the sake of “the economy” that was a spectacular own goal.

I'm simply going to observe again even if he gets this right there can be no certainty elections can proceed this year, and he's nowhere near getting this right, which could very well be his intention

His approval rating is currently equal to his all time high, seriously America? I can just imagine him rubbing his little hands in glee, "this virus is the best thing that's ever happened to me".

In terms of re-election, doesn't every President want a war? This may be the next best thing.

It's fucking pathetic. The great United States has been humbled by this episode and a good portion of the public refuse to acknowledge it. For profit health care budgeted to receive just enough calories to survive one more day is a complete and utter failure. Rather than deal with that, some continue with a tired and dangerous xenophobic response to an assault on their 3rd world vanilla christian lego land. This country is sick to it's core man.

I mean, is this really someone's priority in the middle of all this?

This makes me so fucking angry. The health system is about to collapse and the main focus of government is to hijack the deep running xenophobia that exists among a minority and use it on the international stage to deflect responsibility for a woefully unprepared infrastructure. Really? This is the priority? Total fucking gumbys. Lobbied by corporations to keep the public interest away from the vast resources the US keeps in gated communities occupied by a chosen few, and throwing rancid bait pathetically blaming foreigners for this debacle to keep cretinous pig ignorant voters off the scent. With no thought whatsoever for the consequences of this rotting red herring. What will it take? More people ingesting fish tank cleaner and dying? A couple of nutters wanting to blow up a hospital because the pandemic is a foreign plot to take down the US? I spit in the face of these chicken fucking spunk baskets. Fuck them. I hope the universe visits fearful karma on them for what they are doing.
