great finish from May, must admit I thought the ref had blown as well!!
Yeah. It was pretty obvious. The ref is having a bit of a mare.16th man wrote:The way the jumper suddenly shunted a couple of metres over in the air, you'd think so.Mellsblue wrote:There must've been a nudge in that Exe lineout in the 22.

Certainly managed the game and the conditions better than Steenson.Banquo wrote:good game from him generallyMellsblue wrote:George 'the chiropractor' Ford.
More mistakes from them in this one match than you'd expect in a months worth of games.Banquo wrote:Bad day at the office for Exeter, though Tigers very tenacious; as Puja predicted, their forwards have improved without Blaze.

Agreed. It's a bit like cricket without a competitive Yorkshire team or football without Man U.Timbo wrote:Good to see Leicester and Northampton being competitive. The Premiership is a better league when they're doing well.
He wanted Wells or Williams back on the pitch as they had passed the HIA and the time was served but the officials where saying no.Mellsblue wrote:O'Connor as classy as ever. I presume Dickson stole his donut.
He did have a point - Wells left the pitch at 69.30 and the final scrum was at 79.40, so if he wanted to bring him back on, that was his right. Considering that Leicester had Malouf flanking on the side of the scrum that collapsed for Steenson's bonus point penalty (due to a frankly bizarre decision to have Youngs be the HIA sub for Wells), it might've been an important point.Tigersman wrote:He wanted Wells or Williams back on the pitch as they had passed the HIA and the time was served but the officials where saying no.Mellsblue wrote:O'Connor as classy as ever. Just rewatched it and no. May's the same distance from the 22m that Youngs was when he passed and Youngs was running forwards when he released, so for it to have been physically flat, it must've left the hands backwards.Oakboy wrote: Also, was the pass to May forward?
Nothings change in that regards him and cockers used to get in a fury with the officials.Puja wrote:He did have a point - Wells left the pitch at 69.30 and the final scrum was at 79.40, so if he wanted to bring him back on, that was his right. Doesn't mean he had to be a d*ck about it though. Not impressed by that.

Last few games, including Argentina tour, are the best I've seen him play. While I know he'll never fit certain game plans, on this form he has to be in top two or three Flyhalfs in the world.Mellsblue wrote:Yep.Banquo wrote:good game from him generallyMellsblue wrote:George 'the chiropractor' Ford.
