Good stuff, well done, I couldn't bring myself to watch the last 15 minutes, in case it went pear-shaped.

Tremendous hard nosed win by Ireland. All played their guts out. I feared they'd let it slip mid way through the second half, but that great try by Henshaw nailed it and the team finished strongly.
Fair play to young Carbery who did not look out of place at all - first cap and it's a win against the ABs.
Finally, after 111 years, the monkey is off the back !

Yes. I have been critical of Joe S-F-B for selection and tactics, but that was a great and a historic win and I could not be more happy to be proved wrong.
You may gloat the rest of the night away with my best regards!

She should just have a wash sarge. Takes longer but is less painful.

Absolutely sensational stuff from Ireland.
I missed the game, plus the rugby league and Everton being smashed on account of walking up a mountain to watch some fireworks over South Wales. Looks like the best display was in Chicago!

NZ seriously missed there locks was too late by the time barrett and read went in there, plus aaron smith was well below par and crotty off.
Ireland were pretty excellent, made all the big plays, only delay was not making changes (dillane, cronin) sooner. Murray and henshaw were outstanding, some shift from the starting props too. I dont get what heaslip brings to the party but I like an 8 who crosses the gain line. VderF offering not too much at this stage. either
Cant wait for the next game, NZ will make 6 changes for it, we could have POM involved too will be a cracker

Quoting to agree is prolly bad netiquette, but +1. I only caught the second half - and then came the ABs fightback (usual influence when I start watching ) I was convinced the ABs would win then and very impressed with Irelands play after Barretts try. As you say the new #10 played with great composure in what must have been a terrifyingly nervous debut.
And props as well: the ABs record of consecutive wins was looking unstoppable. Now 18 is the target for us all
<Finally, after 111 years, the monkey is off the back!>Of course, Now please dont bring that form to the Aviva Stadium on 18th March...

Hmm? England? Grand Slam champions? In Dublin? On St Pat's Weekend?
Can't really see us being up for that one.
