Re: Trump
Regarding my previous comments, I think other administrations would definitely deal with the situation differently on the outside. They'd be openly critical of the Saudis, perhaps even demand answers and possibly expel a couple of diplomats for good measure, but I think the end result will be the same as in they would still welcome the money coming in.
Trump is a complete buffoon, with the grace and public speaking skills of an idiot. It is because he lacks any diplomacy skills, he is unable to be eloquent in serious (or any) situations such as this. He is no doubt being encouraged not to be critical of the Saudis as many people around him probably stand to make a lot of money in deals, but he still struggles to be coherent.
I also think this situation appeals to much of his base. They've been sold the 'America first' dogma, and even though the vast majority won't benefit from arms/infrastructure sales to Saudi Arabia, they remain convinced Trump is doing it for them.

You’re probably about right. What do I know. Yet again this thread makes me want to throw myself out of the window.

If you're in a bungalow that's not very interesting, but four or more stories up and you'd get some media coverageMikey Brown wrote:You’re probably about right. What do I know. Yet again this thread makes me want to throw myself out of the window.
And Mike on a ledge has at least a 50/50 shot at being better than Man on a ledge

Mary's holy pale titties I am so sick of the phrase "fake news" issued from someone that bullshits at least once every sentence uttered. The image of his fat orange face with open mouth like a feeding axolotl as he spouts complete wank is just carpet bombed over all media.

Forgive the source, but I had to check it existed after reading Trump somehow managed to call the town of Paradise the wrong name:

Climate Change:
"One of the problems that a lot of people like myself, we have very high levels of intelligence, but we’re not necessarily such believers. You look at our air and our water and it’s right now at a record clean. But when you look at China and you look at parts of Asia and when you look at South America, and when you look at many other places in this world, including Russia, including – just many other places — the air is incredibly dirty. And when you’re talking about an atmosphere, oceans are very small. And it blows over and it sails over. I mean, we take thousands of tons of garbage off our beaches all the time that comes over from Asia. It just flows right down the Pacific, it flows, and we say where does this come from. And it takes many people to start off with."
Everybody get that?

Re: Trump
It's hard to argue with him...
But mainly because he does not understand anything.
His renowned intelligence is no doubt the result of people employed by his family reassuring him from an early age just how amazing he is at everything he does. This has carried through to adulthood, where he personally employs people to tell him every day just how superior he is.
There is literally no amount of reasoned debate, evidence, basic maths and numeracy test, English language and spelling tests, IQ testing, etc, etc that will convince him that he is indeed a retard.
Let him have that crumb of comfort, as it just cannot last forever....can it?
Why is he not being held to account for the things he says and does? He got away with it as a billionaire airhead, but you would think he would be brought to task and held responsible for comments and beliefs, especially with the complete lack of evidence to support anything he says.

Re: Trump
I know. He seems to win in that respect no matter what. He is challenged by the press, but he can bat them away and many of the one to one interviews seem prepared (and he still manages to come across as thick). Then, when he makes public speeches, there's no direct rebuttal. The best we see is other world leaders disagreeing with 'nationalism and protectionism' without actually naming him.belgarion wrote:The fact that anybody in the administration that has the cojones to actually tell him what a complete & utter dumb feck he is will be sackedWaspInWales wrote:It's hard to argue with him...

Also, STOP THE DRUGS says the lunatic, presumably to his sonin law who at a minimum is solving the opioid crisis
Will Trump close sections of the government down over the wall Mexico is going to pay for, and can the Democrats support funding some aspect of wall development that Mexico is going to pay for?

He is just fucking clueless. It is pointless giving the thick cunt oxygen. A daily cycle of tweeted insults followed by a pig ignorant xenophobic rallying cry. Perhaps president fuck nuts should take the fentanyl issue up with the Chinese next time he blinds them with the shining brilliance of his face to face negotiating skills. Top Tip: keep the translator in your ear, you orange pile of yak smegma.
