Watched it here in Oz. What a fight.

Showed a bit of bottle and also inexperience that only having 19 fights brings.

Felt he needed a knock down and win the last 2 rounds to win but a stoppage does the job

American and Puerto Rican judge had AJ up by 2 and 3 rounds.

I watched a Showtime stream and they had klitschko up by 1.

The 5 live boys had Klit up by 3 going into the 11th. Worries about AJs stamina apparently he was gassed by the end of the 4th.

Biggest question from last night is why the hell WK didn't get himself in that shape ornlet his hands go like that v Fury?

He was in far better shape.

Surprised to see a few had AJ ahead at the stoppage. I had Klitschko ahead as he was in control from the 6th.

Still it was a great win for AJ. He looked barely capable of standing upright a few rounds before.

Thought his post fight interview was a bit cringe. Each time he was asked a question, he took the mic, turned his back on the interviewer and addressed the crowd with some bizarre words that didn't answer the question. I thought he was concussed.

I had WK up by 2. If WK has made it out of 11 AJ would have been 1 up on my card due to a 10-7.

The Showtime coverage is on youtube too. Paulie Mallinaggi is one of my favourite boxing pundits.

I looked at a few online reporters scorecards and there are a lot of 10-10 rounds been given. If the judges give AJ those then I can see how they had him up.

Rounds 1,2,3,5 (10-8), 9 and 10 appear to be the ones that anyone having AJ ahead have given him. I didn't agree with that but I can see the argument for it.

I do laugh at the people who say AJ/Hearn was lucky as it would have been a robbery on points. Not allowing for the fact AJ could win the last two rounds himself.

Are the judges scorecards maybe including round 11? By the sounds of it that was definitely a 10 v 8 if not a 10 v 7.

Knockdown 1 - WK goes down with 1.42 left. Ref lets him continue at 1.32 left, WK looks unstable then the ref pulls him away again. He then lets them box at 1.26 left. That is time where WK was being allowed to try and clear his head.

Knockdown 2 - WK goes down with 1.15 left. Ref lets him continue at 1.03 left, then pulls him away again. He then lets them box at 56s left. That is time where WK was being allowed to try and clear his head.

We are only talking about seconds but it still makes a difference and the ref was very generous to WK. If you watch the 1st knock down again if the ref hadn't pulled him back a second time he was in real deep shit as he was still in a daze.

In round 5? Going by the youtube video the only hold I see is Joshua holding and swinging after WK is well on the way down. But the angle in the video I saw is directly behind Joshua. I did notice there was a few times AJ tried to pull WK onto a punch on Saturday though so it wouldn't surprise me.

Things which we learned, AJ does have a slightly suspect chin but has a great deal of heart. Wlad is still a class act at the age of 41.

I wouldn't like to predict a winner in an AJ v Wilder fight, it would be whoever lands first imo.

That's unreal to allow a debut ref at that level of fight.

I just watched rounds 5, 6 and 11 on you tube, AJ ate some big shots, I wonder if he'll end up with a chin slightly less that one like Lennox Lewis. Good enough to eat shots but could go down to a big shot.

It seems as though the ref was confused, after the count he should see if the fighter is ready to continue, if the fighter isn't ready immediately the fight should be stopped as Big D said.

It seems he isn't inexperienced at all after a bit of digging, tho he is a former sparring partner of the marvellous one which may explain his brain issues:

Fury is upping the fighting talk. Is it just talk though? He's been out for a while so a big pay day against AJ would probably be most welcome.

AJ has a suspect chin and questions over his stamina. He finished strongly against WK, but struggled in the previous rounds before the stoppage.

Surely the Gypsy King will be out of his depth against AJ?

Didn't we think that when he was up against WK?
