Very true. I bet he’s having a little giggle to himself today, though.Tigersman wrote:Can't see King returning after the way he was treated.

I thought Tom was busy reluctantly offering to take the role of Head Coach himself?Mellsblue wrote:Tom Wood likes this postTigersman wrote:Lancaster?

I truly hope so - this could be the making of him to not have dear old dad condoning his flaws and allowing him to be tackling-optional.Adam_P wrote:Nothing yet apart from pure conjecture.twitchy wrote:Any rumours being circulated Adam? They must have some one lined up I'm guessing.
I wonder if Harry will see out his contract to 2020 now?

Re: Mallinder gone
Convincing Hepher to leave his current job, will need one hell of a pay rise, and will HAVE to be head coach surely, which may lose you Dickens if he doesn't screw up over the next 6 months

Other ex-Saints I wouldn't mind nabbing are Pat Lam and Bruce Reihana, though I think that is probably equally unlikely. As I said on another thread the other day, knocking back Ackerman in the off-season was incredibly stupid, especially so now.

Would cost around £1-2 million to buy out Lam contract and thats if he even wanted to move from the big bucks.
Reihana is a good shout.

Re: Mallinder gone
Heres a question with Saints 14 points clear of Irish at the bottom do they start to use the rest of this season as a transition or should they carry playing the team as is?
For example giving the Onojaife brothers some more game time?

Lancaster seems a good shout. Possibly Hunter from Exe. If they look to the Champ, possibly Rayer from Bedford (I bloody hope not) or the chap at Doncaster.

Don't think for one second this will deflect me from the fact you championed Mallinder to replace Lancaster.p/d wrote:Lou Macari?Mellsblue wrote:I’d put money on someone from the Southern Hemisphere. Probably a Saffa or Kiwi, but maybe Deans.

Don’t think Mally (yes that was the name he would have gone under had he been appointed) has become a bad coach. Free of West he and Saints will prosper, hopefully under the guidance of Rayer

I will note that West hasn't actually gone. He's still present and was actually name-checked in the board's statement as helping Dickens.p/d wrote:‘tis true.Mellsblue wrote:Don't think for one second this will deflect me from the fact you championed Mallinder to replace Lancaster.p/d wrote:

He will slowly over the season weed himself into the board and then get given it full time.
