Yes, that's exactly part of the process. It comes under effect on the match, and that can be such as a player subject to a foul act is injured off or whether the guilty party received a card.

I think 4 guys have a chance of making the plane , Best is probably all but guaranteed unless the Irish line out goes to shit, Henderson although good can't get past Toner and POM to the Irish 2nd row and isnt close to Stander so can't see him making it.

Barclay is getting talked about but doubt he will make it and L Williams may go if he has a good 6N but really needs helped by some wingers and full backs losing all form

I like L Williams but can't see him getting picked ahead of Hogg or 1/2p at FB and North, Watson, Zebo, Seymore , May for wing even with Gatland in charge

Hmmmm.
There will be injuries,.....don't like to be a doom monger, but there will. Injury free from now, I reckon Henderson, Williams and Best will all make the squad.
Given the way that 2nd row have a tendency to be crocked as the season progresses you could throw 8 names up in the air and just pick the first ones that land.
I'm a massive fan of Toner, AWJ, Launch, Maro and the Grays......but you've gotta be fit.
If fit, Iain Henderson is in the squad.

A bit harsh on Sale

The Toulon player looks like he is launching himself (jumping), the Sale players hands are forward to wrap

I think I would have went back to the original plenalty for holding on

Article on BBC Rugby site re. "New tackle law may limit employment opportunities for Pacific island players." etc.

Maybe the headhunters will need less Elastoplast on their forearms (stops teeth cutting the skin.) from now on..

I heard a bit of the rugby show on 5Live last night. Rugby players are a bunch of moaners. The talk of the game being ruined etc is ridiculous. No one's saying you cant put a big hit in just thst there will be less excuses accepted if you hit the head. Fine if you disagree with the changes, I just think the hyperbole always gives the impression that rugby is in crisis whereas I think we are in a great period for good attacking rugby
