The Belly Telly have PJ & SO being linked too sign for Sale
though perhaps it could be just a bit of gutter journalism and speculation as they also link Australian Israel Folau, recently in bother for his stance on homosexuality
what next? anti semite Mel Gibson to start as hooker?

That would be an awesome front row

Surely you'd be looking for Rolf Harris' Jake the Peg at hooker. Gibson could be converted to a flanker where he'd have far greater FREEDOM!

I was thinking Rolf at No.8 - Jake the peg would give them a great solid platform at the base of the scrum
Jimmy Saville at Full Back, when all seems lost at the back, you need a fella who can FixIt

Thing is, with the pressure coming through the scrum these days, you need a hooker who can keep two feet planted and still have a spare to hook the ball. I'm sticking with Jake at 2.
Savile is a good shout, but do you seriously think that you'll be able to find 14 other blokes who'll be happy with him behind them? No I think you need the consistency at 15 that only a rock-steady alleged sex pest like John Leslie can provide.
How about Stuart Hall on the wing? He goes under the pseudonym Phil Rouge these days, but is still able to deliver that killer blow of his: Its a Knockout.

Stuart Hall is a good shout for going into jeux sans frontier
John Leslie was a tall fella, that’s lock material, pair him with Stan Collymore and you’ve got a couple of enforcers....provided you only play women’s teams

Im thinking that Max Clifford could do a job in midfield, a light touch and quick feet to keep out of trouble, he's always highly creative
Also Ive heard about a fella in the USA who would be good on the wing, Kevin something, he'd be useful out wide in the open Spacey

These lads are going to have to get their skates on. Registration at the Met will be opening up for all the A-level failures in a couple of months and if they're not quick to make their minds up all the best courses will be gone.

Olding to Brive. It seems to me that moves to ProD2 or South Africa are those least likely to attract adverse publicity for the clubs and therefore most likely to happen.

A real shame as he's a much better player than Pro D2 level.

The standard in this season's ProD2 was excellent and I'm sure Olding will be tested to the full.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:A real shame as he's a much better player than Pro D2 level.
Brive, for whom Jeremy Davidson is now head coach, will be one the favourites to gain promotion and will be vying with the likes of Montauban, Mont de Marsan and Beziers, so it ain't going to be easy.

Oh I don't disagree. I'm just hinting at his club choices being far more limited because this bird decided she had some god given right to ransack his career.francoisfou wrote:The standard in this season's ProD2 was excellent and I'm sure Olding will be tested to the full.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:A real shame as he's a much better player than Pro D2 level.

Re: Jackson & Olding
Obviously Olding's options have been curtailed in the aftermath of his trial, rightly or wrongly. There is no doubt that he is capable of a much higher level than the French second division. He was pretty good in the centre for Ireland on their S.A. tour two seasons ago and looked quite comfortable playing international rugby. He would only have improved, but now his career is down the tubes.

Re: Jackson & Olding
He'll undoubtedly be under the spotlight, particularly if Brive are among the front runners for promotion, and if he plays as well as expected, then some Top14 clubs will surely come a knockin'.

Re: Jackson & Olding
If he keeps his head down and avoids scandal I'd expect him back in Ireland after 3 years or so, but then I never expected his contract to be terminated.francoisfou wrote:He'll undoubtedly be under the spotlight, particularly if Brive are among the front runners for promotion, and if he plays as well as expected, then some Top14 clubs will surely come a knockin'.
