Mccrae was.

Cockerill was in town yesterday and apparently had 1 2 1 talks with each coach. So the rumour goes.
Sorry, attack coach.

Can't see them announcing the coaching staff and then binning them a week later.
I agree. Although it would be the first time they've met and maybe discussed how RC sees next season etc.

Toby Flood has been released by Toulouse. Wouldn't be the worst idea to see what his salary expectations are.

Edit: resigned for falcons.

Kennedy gets a new 2 year deal so same again with the scrum halves. I'm a bit surprised and odd it was announced so late. Feels like they've been looking around but couldn't find anyone that they liked better.

Scott gone, Roddy Grant in as an assistant forwards coach. Good appointment.

Coaching set up now complete apparently.

I suppose that means that Cockerill will be the main forwards coach if Roddy is the assistant- would've been a bit odd to see two Hookers both coaching the forwards, so I get it

Wonder if that means Bresler is on his bike?

Miller & Nairn will be the other two I reckon.

Yup, and Miller.

I reckon it will be a centre (Cammy Hutchison maybe) and a winger.

Do we have any young & promising fly halves besides Hastings? If so... hopefully it's one of them!

I'd be happy if it was Lang was Quins, but I don't think it is.

Baggott is the only Edinburgh/Borders academy 10. Not sure how good he's been for Melrose tbh.

Farndale rather than Nairn would be good. Nairn has been training with Glasgow too so I'd be surprised if it was him.

Hugh Fraser on a 1 year deal.

Not sure....scrap that, definitely sure Fowles or Kennedy should have been let go.

Fowles should have been let go. He's rank.

Now Fraser isn't a bad signing but having 4 scrum halves is an atrocious waste of budget considering they won't lose any to international commitments next year - maybe SHC in the event of injury.

As others said - Fowles should never have been signed.

Glasgow only have 3 and they'll lose a minimum of 1 to internationals.

Galbraith it is. So that's a second row, a 9 and a 12. Although I think Galbraith can and has played at 15. He might have played there for Bath A.

Can Galbraith not play 10 also?

He has on rare occasions I think. And by rare I mean in random Edinburgh A games years ago.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duhan_van_der_Merwe

Big lad for a winger. 6ft 4 and 100kgs.

You'd have to think he's a project player.

R Jackson is on the hunt for a new club. If he sees his future at 10 - Edinburgh should pick him up. If 15... Glasgow should be keen.
