Haffar now also confirmed to Saints. He's one to watch. Serious potential.

Shit, I was hoping we were going to pick up him. Very useful prospect.

There's some names in there (although Ruck are, as usual, lazy in their journalism, as there's a few there that've already had new clubs confirmed for a while - Theobald-Thomas being the most egregious).
Jordan Venter (the incredibly muscled Anglo/Scot/Saffer teen that Bath signed from Edinburgh a few years back), Jake Kerr, Sam Lewis, Jack Maunder.

Not only that, it's lazy journalism they lifted from Walesonline and spread over several pages for click. Wiki is usually a pretty safe bet for this kind of thing. Usually fairly well updated.

That's a very pleasing round of recruitment from a Saints perspective - just a shame it has come about from such a shitty situation. Interested to read just now on the Saints post about Pearson that he has family in Northamptonshire so hopefully he can settle in and stay long term.
Interested to see where Cunningham-South ends up - I have high hopes that he can develop into a good 8 for England

Pearson is a great signing for Saints. Should fit right in and also offer a lot to a backrow in desperate need of somebody to challenge at the breakdown without conceding penalties.

Isn’t Ludlam generally one of the best breakdown specialists in the Prem according to stats? I’m often surprised as he wouldn’t necessarily be the one I’d expect. I guess it has a lot to do with his ability to stay fit and the way NH play.
It will be interesting to see how this works out with their 3 first choice flankers all fighting to be in the England squad.
With Lawes’s fitness record it probably won’t be much of an issue but it will be interesting to see how gametime is allocated. It wouldn’t be a surprise for Lawes to play the bare minimum for Saints until the World Cup.

Northampton made the most tackles and conceded the third most penalties. Ludlam was 26th on most turnovers won and Pearson 4th. Hutchinson and Farrell both made more turnovers than Ludlam last season (in the Prem).

I suspect a lot of rotation will take place and Lawes will become more the bench impact to help Saints who can sometimes fade in games.

Aye I'd expect our best starting backrow to be Ludlam, Pearson and Augustus - with Lawes on the bench, or maybe shifting back for a cameo in the second row

Ludlam is very capable at the breakdown, but it is very rarely how Northampton have used him this year. He's usually the big-numbers tackler (which he is excellent at) rather than the player allowed to float around looking to seize on a turnover. Hopefully, Pearson will be given latitude to attack the ball.

Bernhard van Rensburg to Bristol is a rumour going round. Be a great addition to their midfield.

Now confirmed. Him and Ravouvou should make a few holes!

Great signing for Bristol - the player they've needed for a while to replace Siale Piutau.
It is awful for Irish, Wuss, Wasps, but there's no denying that the 10 team league is going to lead to much stronger teams next year (Newcastle possibly excepted).

Yeah that's a seriously good midfield. BVR should be good value for money as well based on last two seasons for LI. He does do a bit of everything.

Arundell confirmed to Racing
Not sure how I feel about that regarding his development, let alone what it says about the league or his England prospects

I think what it mostly says about the Premiership is that LI's demise came too late for many clubs to have a spare £200k sitting around

Ugh. That's a move that a finished article should be making, not a player who's still got massive amounts to learn. Terrible for his development.

Is he? Not seen any confirmation from club or player yet, unless I've missed something
Looking very likely though.
