interesting how NZ get a back on to react to one being sent off and sacrifice a forward; NH teams tend to try and manage a back short, which is nuts.

Kaino, wasn't it?
At a NZ lineout Codie took a knee, I assume as the hooker is important to a lineout, and NZ would have used the time to confirm what defensive plan they were now using
ah ok. Nice bit of mansplaining too

The defensive bomb!

Lovely to see but poor to let it bounce

Bye Sonny. Good to see a referee who has taken his backbone to NZ. Normally that would've been reduced to yellow.

AB's have lost their shape, seem to be putting a lot more folks into the breakdown

No need to give away the penalty there. Defence was sound and a handling error likely.

I think I'd rather have the extra forward in this weather.

Without doubt they are putting more in. Which is making Cane look a threat, but if the Lions can manage 3+ phases at any sort of pace should leave big holes

I'd rather harass Farell into a dog leg.

Would like to see Teo on for one of Sexton or Farrell, probably the former due to the physicality.

A jug for the biggest (legal) tackle, and a jug for each time you bash through/skin your opposite. Take it on.

mebbe. But defending one short is very hard at this level in the backs.

Anyone see Fitzpatrick turn around and try to shoo away the lions fans when the cameras were rolling? WTF.

Is it just me or would you guys rather see a wee bit of harmless rucking away of blokes on the wrong side of a ruck than a game decided by kicks at goal?

funnily enough, I think the Sexton/Faz axis is causing the AB's problems. Its a fair call tho.

Williams you potato. I don't think that's even legal in the NRL these days. Time to reduce this to a dog fight and bank on the Bogan et al being more likely to produce the requisite try scoring magic than the Lions backs.

I hope Spanner Bill Williams is on boot-cleaning duty all week.
