India need 8 runs an over with limited wickets in hand, very hard to bring this home

Nek minute
“So England or Australia to win the WC.”
Hubris is great
I think we really could. Having Roy back makes a fundamental difference to our batting lineup and the confidence of not starting the match being able to fill in the top of the scorecard with J.Vince - 18 before we start does invigorate the rest of the team.canta_brian wrote:In all seriousness, do people think England could win the semi tomorrow? On their good days they are good. Or will playing Aus in an important match bring out the worst in them as usual.
Sure. The problems come if we try to blast Starc instead of being watchful. And then bowl short...canta_brian wrote:In all seriousness, do people think England could win the semi tomorrow? I hadn’t noticed Roy was back when I posted that. Any idea how his hammy is?Puja wrote:I think we really could. He's been back for the last two games, not coincidentally the two we won, so he's hopefully shaken off any fitness issues.canta_brian wrote:I hadn’t noticed Roy was back when I posted that. Also, is the semi on a new pitch? If it is sticky I’m not sure England are as adaptable as Aus. They have played on too many flat tracks that suit huge hitting in the last 2 years.
I’m enjoying the balance of 250 odd cricket at the moment. Bowlers having a fair crack for a change.

Might find out. He’s probably using it to kick the living shit out of Bairstow!Galfon wrote:Heading for early baths all-round..Roy's hammy worked well.
