India need 8 runs an over with limited wickets in hand, very hard to bring this home

It'll be a shame if Bumrah and his ancient spirits of evil don't make the final, he looks vile to face if you want to score quickly

Incredible game. Jadeja's brought them to the brink of a ridiculous comeback only to lose his wicket right at the death. Surely it's over now?

Getting a bit tiring what with these back to back WC final appearances. Hope we can reverse last years result and actually beat Aus this time.

In all seriousness, do people think England could win the semi tomorrow? On their good days they are good. Or will playing Aus in an important match bring out the worst in them as usual.

50 50 for me, both very good teams and the winner will no doubt be red hot favourites in the final. Still, we can dream, NZ is one match away from glory.

I think we really could. Having Roy back makes a fundamental difference to our batting lineup and the confidence of not starting the match being able to fill in the top of the scorecard with J.Vince - 18 before we start does invigorate the rest of the team.

Sure. The problems come if we try to blast Starc instead of being watchful. And then bowl short...

We have a very good team, better on paper than the Aussies. But Starc and Cummings are weapons we don't have.

I hadn’t noticed Roy was back when I posted that. Any idea how his hammy is?

Also, is the semi on a new pitch? If it is sticky I’m not sure England are as adaptable as Aus. They have played on too many flat tracks that suit huge hitting in the last 2 years.

I’m enjoying the balance of 250 odd cricket at the moment. Bowlers having a fair crack for a change.

He's been back for the last two games, not coincidentally the two we won, so he's hopefully shaken off any fitness issues.

Slowed down a bit now. Australia starting to come back into it. Full marks to Carey for carrying on after having his jaw broken by Archer - he's been very good even not considering the pain he must be in.

Was about to say if these 2 hang around for a bit, 240+ will be a workable total, then the Rash bags Carey & Stoinis.118-5 after 28.Just need Smiff gone now.

'kinell - go for a sh!t and find it's all over with nearly 18 overs to spare, 8 wickets up the sleeve.!
As Thumpings go, it's on a par with Lord Thump of Thumpingham in Thumptonshire, all those years ago.
Next stop Lunnun toon - Mustapha Chance. :)

How good was that? England mighty impressive with ball and then bat. Don't get wins much more comprehensive.
