Opening minute, no realistic chance to get the ball, player lands flat on his back - penalty only
60 minutes, no realistic chance to get the ball, player lands on his arse - yellow.
70 minutes, full-on tackle in the air (albeit with a perfectly safe landing) - not even looked at.
Mind, Sarries definitely had the runoff the ref in those opening minutes anyway.

Has there ever been an international scrum half that doesn't fit this description?
We'll, okay Shaun Perry was technically an international scrum half, but still...
Nick Farr-Jones.
Gareth Edwards.
Nigel Melville.
Kyran Bracken.
Will Genia?
These are the only exceptions- No French 9's ever.
Most annoying 9 ever for me- Sid Going.

Genia? Not a dick? That's certainly not the impression I ever had.
The rest I'll either grant you,or never much of an I pressing about them off the pitch. I suspect they more benefitted from good PR than actually not being a dick though.
Also... Going more annoying than Healey?

Farr-Jones and Edwards somewhat pre-dated PR; I've not noticed Genia being a dick, but I did caveat with a question mark. Was Gregan a dick, now I'm onto aussie 9's.
Going just looked annoying, though Healey has a lot of annoying in his CV and ongoing....and having met him, its all merited.
(get that spell checker sorted)

Gregan dished out a fair amount of abuse on the field, but only in a good mannered way that I've heard. As he was happy to go and spend time with the other team after the game whether he'd won or lost, and players increasingly don't do that, so he had a rep as a good guy in addition to being a highly rated player and that helped no one take offence to his mutterings during a game

I thought that, a good guy. Unlike others at 9
