Nope. Binned by Worcester then taken on trial fairly late in pre-season.OptimisticJock wrote:Is he attached to anybody?

I knew Embra had him on trial just wasn't sure if he had been released yet.

Re: 1872 Cup Runners Up
This whole Ryan Grant thing is really, really sad. I'm glad he has a family & I hope he has some career plans outside of rugby as the stories around depression are pretty concerning.
I don't think he's a bad prop but I do wonder if it might be wage related - he is an experienced international prop & a B&I Lion at the end of the day. For a guy who is out of form & looking to work his way back up the asking price may be too high.

I think they are trying to blend the internationals back in. RC made a point about some of they guys having a full preseason etc etc.

Re: 1872 Cup Runners Up
No Graham is a disappointment. This seems to be a back line picked on size which was my concern when we hired RC. We've tried that before and it didn't work very well. Also surprised that Toolis is benching but we have quite good depth at lock, just hoping two of the, really step it up now.Big D wrote:Team to play Cardiff. The internationalists being eased back in.

Interesting to see fife starting again. I assume that he's still on a sevens contract?

Re: RE: Re: 1872 Cup Runners Up
Half of the backs, if not more, that could be starting are injured (Bennett, Freuan, Saffa wing, Hoyland, Burleigh). The two centre's are two of the three (not counting Bryce) that are fit, and the other is Galbraith.switchskier wrote:No Graham is a disappointment. Harries and Fife by all accounts have had good pre season performances to the point apparently Fife may have won a contract too.
Toolis hasn't started any preseason games and hasn't done a full preseason and hopefully lessons will have been learned over burning him out like last year.

So, do we get new threads and thread names for the new season? Not that I have any suggestions.

How about...."The exactly the same shite as last season thread"? I hope it isnt so, but my Friday nights I suspect are going down hill when the new season starts.OptimisticJock wrote:If anyone wants to suggest new names I will change them.

Fair enough. It's Jiffy and Nugget.
Clancy and the scrum. Every decision except the right one.
