Lovely play, good running and a nice break from us... we need to turn it into points tho.

Can't tell who it was but some stupid chip-through and France have the ball back. We had them on the back foot.

We're on the verge of leaking a couple more scores. France look a level ahead in their preparation - bizarre considering we've been in camp far, far longer.
Turf in this stadium is shocking btw. Coming up every scrum.

Re: Way too early RWC Squad
Despite having already won the ball on our own-put in in the 22, Price decides to stare at the pack hoping to milk a penalty for some bizarre reason. Bhatti drops it and its a pen to France. The ball was ready for Price to use... utter idiot.
10-0 now.

Peter Wright on the radio makes me laugh. Have got him on and watching the tv.
Fraser Brown co-commentating when Wright is slagging Huw Jones is quite funny.

15-0 now. We are a complete and utter shambles. And it's literally the same old shit every time - dropped balls, forward passes, moronic decision making, bad lineouts...
If we're bad at lineouts - why is it not worked on? Bad at tackling - why not focus on that?
Still yet to see the evidence of this "fastest rugby in the world"

There's a quote from Toony on the SRU social media saying we've been focussing on the things that didn't go well for us in the 6Nhugh_woatmeigh wrote:15-0 now. We are a complete and utter shambles. I honestly think he needs to go. This isn't working. I'd rather have taken Gatland even if he had us playing dead rugby - this is the best generation of players we have had in the pro era and it's not materialising.Chunks Baws wrote:There's a quote from Toony on the SRU social media saying we've been focussing on the things that didn't go well for us in the 6Nhugh_woatmeigh wrote:15-0 now. Still yet to see the evidence of this "fastest rugby in the world"I've seen no evidence of this. Our defence is fucking pathetic and we're doing the same old dumb shit we always do.

A sports psychologist and a tried & tested skills/handling coach with a proven track record at the top level would be a good start. But it's easier to give the job to your pal in the SRU who's a baby in coaching terms.

What an utterly insane yellow card. Hasting's fingertips touched the ball and it's apparently a deliberate knock on and a yellow.

I hope we are at least competitive against Russia.

Japan will do us if we don't improve. A home RWC and we are the weakest "top tier" (lol) team in that pool.

Re: Way too early RWC Squad
I can't remember the journo but there was a pretty detailed piece a couple of months ago outlining why the second half against England is one of the worst things that could have happened to us... as it masked some serious deficiencies in our game.
Starting to see the point.

Samoa will beat us at this rate. The Japan fixture will be irrelevant.

Got to agree with that. Samoa are limited but they'll know a couple of big hits or scything runs and we will crumble. They don't even need to contest the lineouts.

You guys certainly aren’t making me that sad I’m not able to catch the game. Same old shit? Any of the forwards standing up to it?

Why did Toony cut the squad before the games btw? We only have 3 scrummies so can't exactly send Price home.
Toolis & Gilchrist should be gone as well but we don't have R Gray to consider now.

Pick any dire game in the last couple of years. Same old crap. Honestly.Mikey Brown wrote:You guys certainly aren’t making me that sad I’m not able to catch the game. Same old shit? Any of the forwards standing up to it?

Same old shit and worse. Can't think of a single forward that I'd give pass marks to. In the backs Hogg has looked lively in attack. Not much else to add. We look completely gassed too.Mikey Brown wrote:You guys certainly aren’t making me that sad I’m not able to catch the game. Same old shit? Any of the forwards standing up to it?

They are all bright red and shattered in the Southern France climate. Have we just been training in Scotland? Japan will be cooling down by the time we get there but it'll still be late summer/early autumn.

Ritchie, Taylor & Hogg get pass marks for me.Chunks Baws wrote:Same old shit and worse. Can't think of a single forward that I'd give pass marks to. In the backs Hogg has looked lively in attack. Re: Way too early RWC Squad
Slow start to the season? Nah. Not heard much about specifics of or training/prep but I’m trying to think of something to blame it on, so I can go on believing we’ll start converting our promise into results at some point.
