Re: Brexit delayed
Labour refuse to commit to 2nd referendum - not surprising from Corbyn, but I thought he might have had his hand forced.

Elsewhere, I see that Our Nige is leading by example; as the unelected leader of a political party with no manifesto, no transparency and no accountability; he is also refusing to name his major donors. All this whilst accusing the EU, who's election he's standing in, of being unelected and anti-democratic.

Re: Brexit delayed
Pretty simple for Remainers. Dont vote Labour in the Euro elections.

Yup - pity, as labour ought to be a natural home for many remainers; this leaves us with Lib Dems, Greens or local Nationalistsfivepointer wrote:Pretty simple for Remainers. Dont vote Labour in the Euro elections.

Are they just not making any noise or are they not considered click-worthy enough to get any airtime? I haven't heard anything at all about them since Mr. Bumfuck Homophobe quit.Sandydragon wrote:The failure of the Lib Dem’s to capitalise on the whole Brexit debate is still a slight mystery. They decided that the best thing to do would be to make Vince Cable their leader, which is the political party equivalent of hopping a flight to Dignitas to be put out of one's misery.Mikey Brown wrote:Are they just not making any noise or are they not considered click-worthy enough to get any airtime? I love the way Change UK made the politically correct decision to appoint anyone but Chuka Umunna as leader...
And then their abbreviation is CHUK...
We can sum up this election in a nice military expression...

I bunged them some money and understood any donation over £500 would see one's name be made public. Have they changed that, or is there a hugely varying take on what constitutes a major donor?Mellsblue wrote:Surely Change UK suffer from almost all the issues you listed for Farage?Which Tyler wrote:Forgot about themBanquo wrote: Change Uk ?

Re: Brexit delayed
I believe that’s the position now. At its inception there were questions, which Ummana avoided. Given subsequent issues with the logo and candidate vetting any major donor may wish they hadn’t bothered.Digby wrote:I bunged them some money and understood any donation over £500 would see one's name be made public. Re: Brexit delayed
So, which party actually aligns best to your politics in the upcoming EU elections (as opposed to tribal identity)?
Proportional representation, so tactical voting isn't really relevant.

I'm being told my top three choices in order are Labour, Plaid Cymru and the Lib Dems. Which may speak to its relevance when I wouldn't consider voting the top two.

Why wouldn't you, though? If they're going to deliver on most of what you want...Digby wrote:I'm being told my top three choices in order are Labour, Plaid Cymru and the Lib Dems. Which may speak to its relevance when I wouldn't consider voting the top two.
My top 3 were Sinn Fein, Green and Plaid...and I can't vote for any of them, lol.
The Hungarian parties all came waaaay down on the list, all of them are pretty damn terrible.

Double it, add a handful, a pinch of salt and you’re getting close to Labour’s total. We are living through tumultuous political times. On the plus side, politics students of the next couple of generations will have some cracking subject matter to study.Which Tyler wrote:![]()

Socialism isn't what I want, nor people's QE, nor nuclear subs without missiles, nor leaving the single market, nor anti semitism, nor leaving Nato, nor lying if it supports the true vision of the Glorious Leader, nor a bonkers view of Russia that doesn't even exist anymore informing our foreign relations, nor support for supposed socialist nations no matter their behaviour, nor the entryism of the lefty lunaticsinto the Labour party, nor capital controls, nor....
Maybe if they had someone like David Milliband I'd consider it, but now and for the forseeable future it's as likely as voting Brexit Party or BNP

Re: Brexit delayed
Lib Dems showing up well, not too surprising I guess. They need to find themselves a good new leader asap.
In other news, apparently Boris tweeted he'd just voted Tory in the council elections; except there wasn't an election in his manor. Twat.
