In a move that will surprise nobody, the ERG have decided that, as the deal hasn't changed one iota; nor has their position on it - urging it's members to vote against.

It really is All or Nothing for them!

ETA: Looks like DUP have said much the same - so no way on earth that this passes.
So the only question left, is will the motion be rejected, or will May decide not to have a vote after all, and run the clock down some more.

Not sure the MPs uniformly get three things
1- No deal needs legislation
2- The EU have to approve an extension
3- There is no transition without a WA

There's a scenario where we pass legislation to rule out no deal, and the EU don't agree an extension. Lol.

They may agree a long extension.....may. Reports say mood is 'hardening' in Brussels, but they would say that I guess.

The second part is likely some remainers and some less extreme brexiteers decided to cut losses against a no deal and that no other deal was now possible- that's what the likes of Brady said. Nicky Morgan, a remainer, said it was to try and give a period of certainty....and said how stupid the brexiteers were to vote against, as they were making it less likely we'd leave any time soon. Rees Mogg is clearly thinking of the no deal route- and I wonder if he has some legal ruse to try and stop the 'statutory instrument' needed from happening. Toad man.

Blind panic that otherwise they'd be handing the keys to the country to No-Deal Rees-Mogg. I can't say as I blame them - I might not fancy May's deal, but I fancy that even less.

I don't see what an election will solve at this late date - we might get a government, but the likelihood is we'll still end up with a parliament hung on the question of Brexit because no-one will vote for an MP that represents their views, they'll vote for the one wearing the right coloured rosette.

Surely the only way out of this impasse is a referendum with three choices to be ranked in preference: Remain, May's Deal, No Deal. That's the only way to negate or confirm the "moral authority of the 17.4m who voted leave" as the annoying fucktrombone Rees-Mogg dubbed it today. Otherwise everyone on every side can continue claiming that what "the people" actually meant was anything they like.
