Rowan; the Peter Sellers character of these boards. A cut and paste warrior, championing the plight of everyone that isn't from the UK or North America. Bludgeoning all before him with the sainted club of racism like a blind weddell seal on ketamine. Any who dare challenge his authority on anything are smote with the rolly eyes of righteousness.

There goes the ad hominems. That's when you know they're out of arguments. In fact, they never really had any to begin with; not a solitary word that was not directed at the messenger. Seriously, do you guys just cut & paste them and merely change a few words according to whichever thread you're on?morepork wrote:Rowan; the Peter Sellers character of these boards. Apart from when you tried to claim the British restaurant chain was Italian. Still licking your wounds after that, I'd say
Anyway, i'm not interested in the school yard stuff. What I see here is nothing but an imperialist mentality that condemns all others and denies its own crimes.

Did I? I remember chiming in with a sarcastic "Italian pub". Do you know what sarcasm is Seabiscut? You simply have to drop the Italian job. No one was being wacist Wowan.

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

You should try ploughing your way through 58 pages of use cases written by a French software engineer with a grasp of the English language that falls someway short of where he believes it to be.Donny osmond wrote:No one is that boredmorepork wrote:Donny osmond wrote:Aaaaaaand still feeding the chimp. If I read "control" instead of "check" once more this week, I'll be putting some novichok in someone's baguette. Utterly deniably, of course.

You are all insane. Why aren't we following international law on this? Doesn't it feel like our gov has something to hide? Even after Iraq, are you all still so gullible?

In what way is the UK not following International Law? Apart, of course, from carrying out fals flag attacks with stolen Russian nerve agents, although that should be obvious.Zhivago wrote:You are all insane. 15 years after the Iraq invasion, is it logical to assume that the government is continually lying based on that one event, or is it more logical, and perhaps more mature, to look at each event on a case by case basis?
So, why do you think this is suspect?

Actually, the May government is being very restrained. The use of WMDs by a foreign government is an act of war. NATO article 5 could cover this if the government wanted to get carried away.

The guy was a spy, then he became a double agent, then he was convicted of fraud ....and then the English gave him political asylum...?. That does seem like a legitimate target in espionage terms.

Re: Anti-Russian rhetoric
These guys have given me an insight into the mentality which must have been prevalent during the imperial age. They undoubtedly would have gone for the WMDs story. Anyway, here's more from former British Ambassador Craig Murray:Zhivago wrote:You are all insane. Why aren't we following international law on this? Doesn't it feel like our gov has something to hide? Even after Iraq, are you all still so gullible?
As recently as 2016 Dr Robin Black, Head of the Detection Laboratory at the UK’s only chemical weapons facility at Porton Down, a former colleague of Dr David Kelly, published in an extremely prestigious scientific journal that the evidence for the existence of Novichoks was scant and their composition unknown.
In recent years, there has been much speculation that a fourth generation of nerve agents, ‘Novichoks’ (newcomer), was developed in Russia, beginning in the 1970s as part of the ‘Foliant’ programme, with the aim of finding agents that would compromise defensive countermeasures. Information on these compounds has been sparse in the public domain, mostly originating from a dissident Russian military chemist, Vil Mirzayanov. No independent confirmation of the structures or the properties of such compounds has been published. (Black, 2016)
Robin Black. (2016) Development, Historical Use and Properties of Chemical Warfare Agents. Royal Society of Chemistry
Yet now, the British Government is claiming to be able instantly to identify a substance which its only biological weapons research centre has never seen before and was unsure of its existence. Worse, it claims to be able not only to identify it, but to pinpoint its origin. Given Dr Black’s publication, it is plain that claim cannot be true.

I'm not entirely sure why all the security chiefs were using the debate to ask for more money. It's three people that are ill,......why are all these celeb' MP's suddenly playing at brinkmanship...?. I saw a labour MP saying it was the new Cold War. That guy needs to be sacked instantly.
It does look like all the MP's are a bit bored and have nothing better to do, so starting a new war is fun for these morons. They all have a Churchill fantasy in the back of their tiny brains.

Yeah. I think on the subject of political assassinations, Dr.Kelly is a fair analogue.
We do it, they do it. Tuesday morning in the White House is when they discuss who will die this week.

The day America and Britain stop demonizing Russia is the day they will have to face up to the fact it is their own nations causing most of the destruction around the world - and that has been the case for a long, long time.
