Be interesting to see if they slide him into U20`s squad.
That`d be a test.

Dunno what happened with the predictive text last time out, but I was going to say that there’s a decent scouting network down in England now and it wouldn’t surprise me if there were similar signings to this we take a punton.

Cocaine John given a 3 month suspension from rugby by Edinburgh & the SRU. Effective from the first day of his temporary suspension. So he'll be back in the new year I believe.

I'm not quite clear on the difference between Hardie and say Matt Steven's case? Is it because Hardie was tested out of competition?

I dont think Hardie actually failed a test bit I could be wrong. I think the rules on Cocaine have changed since Stevens

Hardie didnt fail a test

He was basically shopped by a member of the public that saw him take cocaine

He admitted it and the SRU is sending out a strong message that it wont tolerate drug taking by role models

While as an adult I have no problem with taking drugs, my kids really do think the sun shines out Finn Russell and Stuart Hoggs bum's and i do think clean cut role models is important for kids u 14

Hogg seems to be a very family oriented fella. Be surprised if he even has more than a couple of drinks when he's out.

Edinburgh used to be very big on the partying in the Visser, Talei, etc days. Don't know much about them anymore.

Either way, I disagree that a 3 month ban is a 'strong' message for cocaine use.

It is a tricky one.

Cocaine use is illegal but out of competition it is not banned by WADA.

Hardie hasn't failed a test, and alleged cocaine use was only reported to the SRU and any proceedings would have relied on a large part to Hardie being honest.

I agree it's not a strong message but if he hasn't failed a test and has admitted it then it's probably a fair ban. He could have said fuck all and got away with it.

I also agree with java, I don't really care if he's taking it or Not, even the army is starting to let folk off with it. The role model thing is another valid point.

Maybe there's a clue there to solving the AR recruitment problem. You could start supplying it....

Amazing Score. Must be very hard being a Kings Supporter. They are having a heart wrenching season.
