Great vid.
0-0 after 12 minutes. Turned down 3 points to kick for the corner and some smart saffa play/ dumb Enbra play saw the cheetahs exit unscathedz

Idiotic pass. If that kick had stayed in play it'd be 7-0 to cheetahs easily. Their wings are RAPID.

Haha, I had completely forgotten I’d made that sack of shit. I wonder when it got copyright nuked.
Aye you are right Greg, cheetahs are fucking lethal out wide.

That's a yellow for me. Tovey has just got a kick off and has no way to protect himself. Trying to charge the kick does not let you launch into the kicker like that.

Re: 1872 Cup Runners Up
I see your point, but I don’t think that’s a yellow. It was an honest attempt to charge it down, had he been any later aye, but once you commit to that, you can’t magic yourself out the way. Penas was just about right.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:That's a yellow for me. Tovey has just got a kick off and has no way to protect himself. Also, I wouldn’t normally give anyellow for that charge down, but he left his knee up and landed on the kicker’s foot.
Targetting the standing leg! Begorrah, dat’s a yellow.

14-10 try and conversion SHC. Good, heads-up rugby. (And head up his arse Rugby from the Cheetahs’ new scrum half). The new saffa winger looks a find too.
Funny whenever something kicks off and there’s a bit of a meleé, the PA rings the bell to start the boxing!

What the fuck was the cheetahs half back doing at that last scrum, you have to defend the wheel. That was a gift and a half.

Edinburgh just ran out of steam, not surprising that most of those guys have never played at that altitude.

The scoreline flattered the Cheetahs for sure. Edinburgh are in a transitional time, have an injury crisis and lost a lot of their top lads to Scotland. Playing against one of the best teams in the league, away and at altitude. I was expecting a loss but the Cheetahs really put the gloss on in the second half.whatisthejava wrote:Edinburgh just ran out of steam, not surprising that most of those guys have never played at that altitude.

They did indeed. Will be a useful lesson for future years.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:The scoreline flattered the Cheetahs for sure. They are on a hiding to nothing on this mini tour. Missing all the Scotland boys for both weeks when some could have played a more local game next week is a real sore one. Especially when it's a full tight 5 (ok McKenzie would start but the other would bench) plus Watson, Ritchie and CdP. It's all players who are mostly bang in form.

One of my friends had her picture taken with CDP, Ritchie, Gilchrist, Burleigh (and someone else) at Edinburgh airport today. They were flying to SA.

And sensible - they haven't played a huge amount of rugby.Big D wrote:That's positive news at least.Adder wrote:One of my friends had her picture taken with CDP, Ritchie, Gilchrist, Burleigh (and someone else) at Edinburgh airport today. They were flying to SA.

Would imagine the 5th is Berghan.
Toolis, Watson, Marfo and McInnally probably due a rest after their shifts.
Have I missed anyone?

Scotsman has an article re. signing of S.Q.`d fly half from an English Rugby LEAGUE Academy.. He looks, ehm, promising.

Doubt he's to be a union fly half. Those converts don't often work out too well...

Well, unless Myreside is about to become a RL venue , he`s going to be an eighteen year old stand-off prospect..hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Doubt he's to be a union fly half. Those converts don't often work out too well...

Re: 1872 Cup Runners Up
Was talking to someone about this a couple of weekends ago. The lad has barely played any union, and you wouldn’t blame him/ his parents for taking the salary on offer. A good prospect tho - let’s hope he comes through tee khet side successfully.
